John is a global, multi-lingual, and multicultural finance leader with broad experience establishing and transforming joint ventures, production sharing agreements,  and netback pricing sales for start-ups and established multinational organizations​ in the energy industry.  He successfully managed definition, implementation and compliance monitoring of integrated IT Enterprises in Exploration & Production, Finance, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Trading companies. 

​​During his expatriate career, John effectively built and executed business initiatives throughout the Americas; Europe/Africa/Middle East; and Asia Pacific with global assignments in Audit, Finance, and IT for Exxon Mobil, its subsidiaries, joint ventures, and other related entities.​
 John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Iowa, and a Master of International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management, “Thunderbird”.  He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and is pursuing Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) accreditation (Dec. 2021).  He is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and proficient in French and Russian.​
